Tada Natural Farm was established in 1989 by Katsuhiko Tada, who was born and raised in a vegetable farming family in Tono City, Iwate prefecture. His family has been farming on the same property since the Edo period. Seeing a vast number of the younger generation moving to the big cities, he came back to his hometown after graduating collage to revive his hometown. He envisioned himself as living as a sustainable farmer who cares about the environment, the wildlife and the community. When he started, he and his wife only grew spinach, but with his passion and perseverance he has established one of the areas great farms and some of the worlds most delicious products. If you come to Tono, you will realize the many reasons why this city is known as the “nostalgic hometown for all”. You will see and experience a traditional Japanese way of living filled with wisdom and care. In the words of Mr. Tada, “To continue the way we live with this beautiful nature, and appreciate the vast diversity of wildlife, as well as each other, we must prioritize being a conscious company.”
Tada natural farm is now distributing dairy products to the U.S, Hong Kong and China, as well as all over Japan. Tada Farms commitment to create “truly yummy” products, is due to the quality of their milk, the quality of the soil and of course the wisdom and skill of their workers. Mr Tada has come to realize that the more simple and pure the recipe, the more delicious the result.
Happy Milk
We offer a relaxing environment for our cows, who provide us with milk! As you can imagine, the taste of milk largely differs depending on their physical and mental health. We also know that there are tremendous influences of what they eat, upon their gut health and thus the flavor of their milk. This is why we consciously feed them the appropriate type of fermented foods.
Our cows move around freely and drink the anti-oxygen water. They have fluffy beds to lay and rest anytime they want. Our happy cows naturally come to the milking section twice a day to serve us high quality organic milk. We deliver it to the factory and immediately start the process of making yummy treats.
Senses + Experience
The leading members of our small sweet factory is made up of highly trained, licensed pastry chefs. Next to their kitchen is our cheese factory, where our world renowned cheese chefs work their magic. Our creativity and uniquely healthful high quality, has a solid foundation, developed under the guidance of 1st class professionals, domestic and international. We raise those standards even more with our own natural flavors, our happy milk, and the rich local produce only found in this region. We believe in putting in the extra effort and doing things right, after all, ‘true yumminess’ is a whole body, multi- dimensional experience. Isn’t that what we all want!
Healthiest Soil and Water
Katsuhiko has read and researched the vast array of farming books stemming from the very old publications to the most recent. He has practiced different theories on his own farms and livestock to uncover the laws of nature and agriculture. The wisdom he has cultivated now allows him to see what makes the soil rotten, and what makes it rich with life. He says, “We need to cut away excessive properties but provide the absolutely necessary labor to maintain the healthy balance. Our soil has diverse and active microbiomes and that is promoting the veggies, nuts and fruits to absorb its nutrients, which defines the taste. Iron rich local spring water is promoting strength to the crops. We filter through this water with dried leaves and oyster shells to add anti-oxygenation properties, then feed our soil and cows. Our farming starts with creating the healthiest soils and water.”
LOL Milk + Simple Ingredients.
At Tada Natural farm, we use a, ‘low temperature, longer time span’, style pasteurization for our milk and for our products, which supports the unique flavor and allows us to use very few other ingredients or additives.
Because we do not use high temperature pasteurization, we have much less time for production and shelf lives, but we keep so many more enzymes, proteins and microbiomes present which makes a huge difference in the taste as well as being kind to our bodies.

Highlighting the natural flavors of milk and cheese is the key to absolute deliciousness. She enjoys creating new dolce that captivates both the eyes and the heart. Now coaching new staff members at Tada Cafe in China.

Bringing authentic cheese making techniques from Europe to Tono, she crafts high quality cheeses and expands the variety of their products. She is also a key figure in distributing the Tada Natural Farm brand in North America.

After studying the art of sweets making in Tokyo and France, she returned to her hometown Tono, and joined Tada Natural Farm. She meticulously crafts delightful confections, creating unforgettable textures and flavors.
